Glass Bridge
Provably fair

One of these two holds

Glass Bridge

Cross a bridge of glass panes, one pair at a time. In every pair one pane holds and one shatters. Take your winnings before your last runner falls.

At a glance

How a round works

  1. Send the line out

Pick a difficulty and a stake. Three chibi runners wait at the edge of the gorge, and they are your three lives.

  2. Pick a pane

Tap a pane in the scene or press LEFT or RIGHT. One holds and one shatters. It is a fair coin flip, and it is priced as one.

  3. Get out in time

Cash out at any rung from pair 3. Lose all three runners and the stake goes with them.

What is in it

Full rules and detail6 steps

A manga-styled take on the glass bridge, built in Unity 6. Three chibi runners stand at the edge of a gorge between floating islands, spires and lanterns, and between them and the far platform hangs a bridge of glass pairs. In every pair one pane is tempered and one shatters. Which is which is drawn fifty-fifty on the game server and sealed to a blockchain block before anybody steps out, so nothing is decided while you are choosing, and the game itself never knows a pane until a runner lands on it. The full draw is revealed when the run settles, so you can check it against the seal. Guess right and the runner lands and the multiplier climbs. Guess wrong and the pane breaks into real shards under them, the next runner relays forward, and the broken pair is now known, so the new runner steps onto the safe pane. Easy is 10 pairs up to 17.73×, Normal 18 pairs up to 1,478×, and Hard 24 pairs up to 54,060×. Every rung returns exactly 97%. Cash out from pair 3, or set an auto-cash rung. Each run has a sixteen-minute clock, and running it out walks the line off at the current rung. Stakes run from 100 to 10,000 virtual coins from a 50,000-coin bankroll that refills if you go broke.

How to play

  1. Press PLAY, pick Easy, Normal or Hard, and set a stake from 100 to 10,000 coins. Then SEND THEM OUT.
  2. Tap the left or right pane in the scene, or press LEFT or RIGHT. There is no tell: both panes look the same, and every rung of the ladder is priced as the coin flip it is.
  3. A wrong pane costs a runner and buys an answer. The next runner relays forward and steps onto the safe pane of the broken pair.
  4. Cash out from pair 3 onwards at whatever the ladder shows. Three runners absorb two falls, so pairs 1 and 2 cannot end a run and pay 0.97×.
  5. Set an auto-cash rung before the line goes out and the run settles there by itself. The sixteen-minute clock does the same at zero: it pays at the current rung.
  6. When the run settles, CHECK SEAL shows the block value, the run seed and every pair, including the ones nobody reached, so the draw can be recomputed against the commitment.
